JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is needing volunteers for the 2020 North American Breeding Bird Survey.
Each survey route is 24 and a half miles long, but there are stops every half-mile where volunteers conduct counts to record data. Resource Scientist with the MDC Janet Haslerig told KXCV/KRNW that not just anyone can sign up however.
The MDC has five routes to be surveyed one morning between May 27 and July 7. For more information or to volunteer contact Janet Haslerig at 573-522-4115 ext. 3198.
